Tribune: Belgrade ❤️ Sarajevo. Examples of solidarity in 1992-1996.

On Thursday, January 22, at 7 PM, a panel discussion will be held dedicated to memories of solidarity actions undertaken by Belgrade residents during the siege of Sarajevo (April 1992 – February 1996). These packages were prepared and packed in Belgrade, and sent to Sarajevo through very complicated and risky ways with the help of the organization “Adra.” There also will be discussions about visits to Sarajevo, which began as early as April 1995, during the siege. These meetings and the aid that was sent could not help the citizens of Sarajevo much, as they lacked food, water, electricity and medicine. However, these examples showed that solidarity persisted even in the toughest times and that there were citizens of Belgrade who refused to accept hatred and war.
