The 1990s brought significant changes with long-term consequences in the region, Europe, and the world. Globalization reached the farthest corners of the planet, the geopolitical scene changed dramatically, and the map of Europe was redefined by the formation of the European Union and the new states emerging from the ruins of socialist federations. Waves of migration from the South to the North and from the East to the West followed, while digital technology transformed our way of life.<\/p>

In the period between the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the attack on the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001, war engulfed almost all parts of the former Yugoslavia. Even today, unresolved issues like nationalism, populism, and violence threaten peace and stability. The mission of the “Museum of the Nineties” initiative, a joint effort of experts, activists, and organizations from the post-Yugoslav space, is to acquaint the public with that decade and confront today’s challenges.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
