SUMMARY:Call for Applications – Paid Internship Program within BEYOND
DESCRIPTION:Within the project BEYOND – Balkans Engagement for Youth: Opportunities\, Networking\, Development\, a call is open for young people who wish to gain practical experience through the European Civic Service program. \nThe program offers young people the opportunity to engage in activities that contribute to the local community and\, through hands-on work\, develop knowledge and skills in the fields of culture\, tourism\, and civic engagement. \nParticipants will have the opportunity\, through practical work and mentorship support\, to take part in developing initiatives that contribute to the improvement of Belgrade’s cultural content and tourism offer\, as well as the development of new cultural programs and activities for the local community. \nThe program is implemented in cooperation with the following organizations:Museum of the NinetiesKC Grad \nThe program includes:● engagement in Serbia for 20–24 hours per week over a period of 6 months● mentorship support and joint educational activities throughout the program● monthly financial support in the amount of €300 during the program \nDuring the program\, participants will have the opportunity to gain experience through the following activities:● participating in the preparation and implementation of cultural programs and events● contributing to the development of initiatives that connect culture\, tourism\, and local development● gaining experience working in civil society organizations and cultural institutions● developing teamwork\, communication\, and project management skills \nThe engagement may include different areas\, depending on participants’ interests\, such as:1. event production2. project coordination and administration3. digital communications and marketing4. audience development and cultural tourism5. fundraising6. work in galleries and museums \nWho can apply?The call is open to young people who:● are 18–30 years old● are interested in civic engagement and community work● are motivated to contribute to the development of cultural initiatives through practical work \nThe program is open to all young people — prior professional experience is not required. We especially encourage applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds\, identities\, and interests. Selection will primarily be based on motivation\, interests\, and willingness to learn and collaborate.  \nApplication deadline:  6. By purchasing a ticket\, you support the work of the Museum of the Nineties.  \nA staged reading of the play The Conspirators by Igor Štiks and Vladimir Arsenijević\, based on the KROKODIL series Common Reading Room. \nDirected by: Boris Liješević\nPerformed by: Svetozar Cvetković\, Isidora Minić\, Dejan Dedić\, Marko Grabež \nWhat happens when\, breaking all laws of space and time\, Bogdan\, Borka\, Mirko\, Sem\, Predrag\, Svetlana\, Saša\, Miroslav\, Daša\, and Danilo meet? And what is their connection to the writers whose surnames are Bogdanović\, Pavićević\, Kovač\, Mehmedinović\, Matvejević\, Slapšak\, Hemon\, Krleža\, Drndić\, and Kiš? What kind of conspiracy are they part of? What kind of action are they calling us to?    \nBased on texts published in the Common Reading Room series\, this exciting blend of voices—a linguistic and artistic polyphony—convincingly shows that\, although we now find ourselves divided into different countries\, and many of us scattered across the world\, we are not strangers to one another. Because in literature\, there are no passports. The bonds that connect us\, rooted in a shared language and a rich literary heritage\, are far stronger than the destructive forces that have produced more harm in recent decades than we could have ever imagined.The Conspirators speaks about that harm\, but also about a conspiracy for a different\, better future. Literature plays a key role in it\, as imagination is more important today than ever before. Readers and audiences—those who speak\, use\, create\, and breathe a shared language—are invited on a journey\, or rather an adventure\, of reading\, discovery\, understanding\, and thought. Wherever they may be\, that language belongs to them.This is a statement of resilient optimism and a firm belief that the bonds on which the literary republic of the European South rests will endure.       \nDespite everything.
