SUMMARY:Photography Exhibition "Sarajevo 1992–1996 / The Longest Siege" by Mario Boccia
DESCRIPTION:Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra and Osservatorio Balcani Caucaso Transeuropa\, in cooperation with the M90 initiative\, present photo exhibition by Italian photojournalist Mario Boccia\, taken during the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s. The black-and-white images he captured form a visual archive of a traumatic era\, the harsh everyday life filled with fear and uncertainty that the residents of Sarajevo endured throughout the years of destruction of their city. These photographs are not only testimony to devastation and loss\, but also to hope\, dignity\, and the invisible gestures of solidarity that held the community together.   \nMario Boccia is a photojournalist and author of reports on global issues\, as well as articles and photographs published in numerous Italian media outlets. For twenty years he worked in areas affected by war and poverty across Europe\, Africa\, Latin America\, and the Middle East\, striving to find traces of hope even in the bleakest situations. He was a correspondent and reporter for the Italian daily il Manifesto from Sarajevo\, Belgrade\, Pristina\, Skopje\, Diyarbakır\, and Baghdad. His photographs have been used to promote solidarity campaigns by many NGOs\, non-profit organizations\, and the United Nations.    \nThe exhibition is curated by Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra and Osservatorio Balcani Caucaso Transeuropa. \nThe exhibition Sarajevo 1992–1996 / The Longest Siege will open on December 8 at 7:00 PM at M90 and will run until February 8\, 2026\,   daily 10am – 8pm. Entrance is free.  \nThe hosting of the exhibition is organized within the framework of the ‘Trancityons’ project\, co-funded by the European Union (CERV-2024-CITIZENS-REM).

SUMMARY:Discussion "Good and Bad News About the Judiciary in 2025"
DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, 11 December 2025\, at 6 pm\, a discussion titled “Good and Bad News About the Judiciary in 2025” will be held at M90 – the Museum of the Nineties (Kneza Miloša 3). The event is organized by the Peščanik Citizens’ Association and the Center for Judicial Research (CEPRIS).   \nThis year\, citizens – led by students – addressed their demands for a safe and dignified life to judicial institutions for the first time. How did the judiciary respond to these demands during 2025\, and how did the executive branch respond? What processes are currently unfolding within the judiciary\, and what lies behind the daily news about criminal proceedings against former and current ministers\, the reports on pardons\, the announcements of prosecutorial reorganization and changes to judicial laws\, and\, finally\, behind the first protest jointly organized by judges\, prosecutors\, and lawyers?    \nThese and other questions of crucial importance for the future of the judiciary and the citizens of Serbia will be discussed by Miodrag Majić\, judge of the Belgrade Court of Appeals and CEPRIS member; Vanja Bajović\, associate professor at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law; Bojana Savović\, prosecutor at the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade and CEPRIS member; and Vladica Ilić\, lawyer at the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights. The discussion will be moderated by Sofija Mandić\, lawyer and CEPRIS member.
